Rebuilding Smiles with Advanced Dental Implant Techniques
Individuals with missing teeth often experience difficulties with everyday tasks like chewing and speaking, which can significantly disrupt their daily routines. The consequences of missing teeth include misalignment of remaining teeth, loss of bone density, changes in facial appearance, and decreased self-esteem. At Bird Dental Studio, we recognize the profound impact on oral and mental health due to tooth loss, and we are pleased to provide various dental implant solutions designed to restore your smile and confidence!
Dental implants are the number one tooth restoration option for missing teeth. They have three parts to help ensure their longevity and stability: the implant post, abutment connector, and prosthetic teeth. The titanium posts are surgically placed into your jawbone to replace missing tooth roots. Then, an abutment that connects to a natural-looking and fully functional crown, bridge, or denture is attached. Dental implants in Idaho Falls, ID, from our experienced implant dentist, Dr. Jayson Bird, offer exceptional versatility, durability, superb functionality, and a lifetime of benefits other options simply can’t match!

Our Transformative Implant Options

Single Implants
A single implant may be ideal for individuals who have lost a single tooth. Using one implant and a crown, this option effectively replaces the missing tooth and its root. Tailored to your specific needs, single-tooth implants operate similarly to natural teeth, utilizing titanium implants that promote the health of your remaining dental structure.

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are an excellent solution for those who have lost a single tooth or a row of teeth. This dental restoration involves placing crowns on the natural teeth adjacent to the gap and artificial teeth that effectively “bridge” the space in your smile.

Overdentures
Overdentures are removable dental prostheses that replace all upper or lower teeth. Unlike traditional dentures, they do not utilize adhesives for stability. Instead, they depend on implants that serve as anchors. The overdentures attach to the implants, ensuring they remain securely in position throughout the day, alleviating concerns about movement. Additionally, implants encourage bone growth and help prevent the bone loss often associated with conventional dentures.

Full Mouth Dental Implants
Full mouth dental implants provide a lasting solution for patients who need to restore an entire arch of missing or damaged teeth. This treatment offers a natural look and feel, improved function, and long-term stability, allowing you to enjoy a confident, complete smile. With advanced implant techniques, full mouth restorations can transform your dental health and quality of life, giving back the comfort and appearance of a natural smile.
What to Expect from the Implant Procedure, from Start to Finish
When you entrust your missing smile to our team, you’ll benefit from personalized care, advanced technology, and our comfort-focused approach. During your consultation at Bird Dental Studio, we take the time to understand your unique needs and goals, use state-of-the-art 3D imaging for precise, predictable planning and results, and discuss the dental implant cost. Before proceeding with surgery, we check to ensure any lingering oral health problems are resolved.
On the day of your procedure, we will administer your choice of sedation to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. We will make small incisions in your gums to access the underlying bone and insert 4-6 implant posts into predetermined spots. Once your implants are placed, we will attach your abutment connector and fix your temporary teeth. These temporary teeth allow you to eat, smile, and laugh confidently while your mouth heals!
During early and subsequent follow-up appointments, we will assess your gums, implants, and surrounding teeth to determine if healing is progressing without complications. We may also take digital X-rays to ensure there is no accumulation of plaque and tartar and/or signs of inflammation or infection.
Aftercare involves proper oral hygiene, mindful eating, and avoiding habits that can damage your implants. Once your implants have fused with your jawbone to create a solid foundation for your new smile, we will place your final prosthesis. During your final visit, you’ll receive a customized permanent crown, bridge, denture, or full arch teeth. Dr. Bird will check to ensure everything looks and feels perfect, and you’re happy with your newly restored smile!
